First Time For Everything

I think this short quick write is fairly self explanitory.  Please feel free to leave any questions or comments below!

A small smile fluttered across her features as she gazed up at the pale brilliance of the moon. Her hands were tangled beneath her in lush, damp grass. The soft hum of car engines was audible from the street a few miles away.

“I love the night.” She whispered, not wanting to ruin the perfection of the moment. The man to her left grinned at her, his blue eyes glistening brilliantly. Her heart raced as she met his gaze and she returned his warm smile.

“I do too.” A simple reply, so why did it make her whole body tremble just at the very sound of his voice? She giggled and her face flushed at her body's own reaction. A confused look crossed the handsome young man's features but he joined in her laughter.

“Sorry, I am just embarrassing myself… as usual!” Her laughter continued as her gaze returned to the velvet darkness above.

What a perfect night...

I like really like spending time with you.” The silence was broken once more but neither one minded much. Cocking her head, she shifted to her knees and faced him.

“And why's that?” A smirk crossed her lips, waiting, hoping for a reply that would make the night ecstatic.

“You're so much more entertaining than video games!” He did not miss a beat, and their laughter started up again. She shoved him playfully, but hard enough to cause him to fall backwards. “I would hope so!” Feeling somewhat guilty, she stretched out her hand to assist in pulling him back up. He took it. His hand was warm, strong. Her skin burned at the touch, a raging fire.

Once he was sitting again, their eyes locked for a moment. Quickly, she looked away, blushing again. Silence. Suddenly, she felt his hand on the side of her face. Cautiously she turned her face back to him. Her breath hitched in her throat and her heart hammered in her chest, he was so close! A smile spread across his brilliant features.

“Why so serious?” He cocked his head. She giggled nervously but was abruptly cut off. She inhaled sharply through her nose as his soft lips pressed ever so slightly against hers, as if he was asking permission. Her head was spinning.

Oh, please don't faint! What if I do something wrong?

Finally, she ever so slightly leaned into her first kiss.

He pulled away slowly so his face was only inches away from hers. She opened her eyes to see his twinkling sapphire ones staring right back at her.

“So... how was that for a first kiss?” He asked jokingly. Without thinking she ran her fingers through his hair and traced the side of his face.

“Quiet you, I wasn't done yet.” She leaned towards him again.
